South Dakota Trade navigates international trade for the state, promoting South Dakota exports and connecting local businesses with global opportunities. As a 501(c)(6) public-private partnership, we administer South Dakota’s STEP grant program, conduct export education, facilitate trade missions, and offer confidential trade consulting services to South Dakota companies. With more products manufactured in South Dakota for potential export, there will be a greater demand for energy.

South Dakota Trade provides opportunities to assist companies across all sectors in exploring international market opportunities for their products and technologies. We stand by the understanding that export growth, generates increased revenue that fuels further expansion and innovation.

South Dakota Trade's involvement stems from our mission to support South Dakota's promising and impactful industries in reaching global markets. As we witnessed the renewable energy sector's growth in South Dakota, we recognized the immense export potential these companies possess.
