Solar Xpress is a renewable energy development company focused on building scalable energy infrastructure projects that reduce long-term costs and create sustainable value for businesses and landowners. We work across commercial, agricultural, and community-scale projects, helping partners turn energy into a strategic asset.
2. What types of renewable energy does your organization focus on?
Our primary focus is solar energy, including distributed generation and community-scale projects. We are also actively exploring battery storage integration to enhance system performance and long-term value.
3. What inspired your organization to get involved in renewable energy?
We recognized a growing gap between rising energy costs and accessible solutions for businesses and landowners. Renewable energy—especially solar—offers a unique opportunity to control expenses while building long-term assets. That combination of economic and operational value drove our commitment, and our role has continued to evolve into full project development and strategic partnerships.
4. What motivated you to become a member of SoDak Renewables?
We joined SoDak Renewables to be part of a collaborative network actively shaping the future of energy in South Dakota. It allows us to stay aligned with policy, connect with key stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful growth across the state.
5. What developments in South Dakota’s renewable energy future are you most excited about?
We’re particularly excited about the growth of distributed energy resources and increasing interest in community-scale projects. These solutions create opportunities for local ownership, stronger grid resilience, and long-term economic benefits across South Dakota.
6. Can you share a recent project, partnership, or initiative that you’re particularly proud of?
We are currently advancing multiple commercial and small utility-scale solar projects focused on reducing long-term operating costs for our partners. In parallel, we are building strategic partnerships to expand access to renewable energy across underserved markets.
